Stare down the drain and fill up my glass
Not a lick more, not a drop less and pretend it was my last

Now when I’ve got something to get off my chest
I pull up a chair and untangle the mess
The bones in my fingers pressed down on the neck of this old guitar

Blue collar red county’s valleys are green

Sometimes I feel empty, sometimes I could scream
Sometimes I believe in the words that I sing

This morning I woke up and couldn’t feel my toes
Then luna got foxtails pulled out of her nose

So I rolled out of bed and turned on the bath
Looked down the drain and couldn’t help but laugh
Yesterday’s troubles, just like that, they washed away
